Yes, there has been a postponement of the OBN Rendezvous this summer...But, don't you worry! There is still going to be some serious fishing going on in Colorado!! Stephanie and Dustin over at Antlers and Gills and The River Damsel still plan on fishing some great waters Aug. 10-14th, 2011...so, join the party!!! You can check out Antlers and Gills blogsite to see the incredible rivers and streams that Colorado has... and the Rocky Mountain National Park has plenty of wildlife to enjoy...Big Horns, Elk, Beaver and even a Coyote or two....
For anyone wanting to meet other fishing bloggers and fish in some of the most beautiful settings that you can imagine...we invite you to the Rocky Mountain Frenzy. We will have a meet and greet one night at a restaurant in the Fort Collins area. From there, you can fish as a group or on your own. We will have a lot of fun, that's for sure! We would like to find out who would like to join in on this whirlwind adventure...How many rivers can you fish in four days? Well, come and find out!! (I have personally done 8) Not promising that, but just sayin'...
So, comment below if you are from Colorado or elsewhere and you would like to join in on the Rocky Mountain Frenzy!! We will send out a group email every few weeks to keep you posted on any updated information that you might need to know about the Frenzy week...Cool??? Oh, yeah. It will be! Steph has some good ideas of the waters to fish, but we are also open to suggestions from all of you locals!...So, what are you waiting for...plan to net some Colorado trout and meet your blogging fishin' friends!! Fortunately, Stephanie has a little break that week from her schooling, and well...I am always looking for reason to take a break from working. (Truly!)
The blogs looking very nice, very nice.
ReplyDeleteI'll come if someone has a hollowed out log I can sleep in.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read about the on 'postponement' I suspected there would be a grassroots movement. Brava ladies!
ReplyDeleteRichard ~ Thanks for the compliment!!
ReplyDeleteAnthony ~ I'm afraid everyone is on their own for the lodging aspect...I'm not sure that I can find a hollowed out log though... :( Unless we can move out Thumper!!
Clif ~ It's a revival... ha. Come join us!!
I'll be here because this is where I am.
ReplyDeleteI'll need to start a fund raising campaign in order to make it there. Who knows maybe I'll win a lottery (or just get a good job) before August. Wish I could join y'all, and if it's possible I'll try.
ReplyDeleteCofisher ~ Yes, we are going to get you away from the pond for a few days... : )
ReplyDeleteJay ~ It sure would be nice to have someone there to tell us about all of the wildlife...The job definitely needs to come first. Good luck!
Thumper?! That guy is always cramping my style.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm still intrigued and tempted. I have a van so all I would need is a Walmart parking lot(or a campground...)
Now how in the world could I back away from meeting you all when you're going to be right in my backyard. I'm in.....
ReplyDeleteDinner should be a fun affair - I can already hear the fish tales in my head! I have no idea where we are going to end up fishing, but I am sure everyone will have a fantastic time. I'm a kind of solo gal (well just me and Dus), so fishing with people will be a new experience for me. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteThere is a ton of water around here to fish - as I told Damsel, we could all separate and hit up the park and spend the entire 4 days there! There are lakes, streams and big roaring rivers....
Believe it or not, if you come camp - the trip could be a pretty affordable one. Airfare or fuel would definitely be the biggest expense. Fishing license is 31 bucks.

Midgeman ~ Whoohoo!!! Can't wait, buddy.
ReplyDeleteSteph ~ Ya, we better plan an early start for that dinner...so everyone can get their fishtales in...haha.
Ok...I know there are more of you CO. fishers out there! Need you on the email list!
Can't wait! Looking forward to meeting the story tellers in person!
ReplyDeleteSanders ~ I'm sure most of the stories will be true...except mine! Ha...But, my post tomorrow is absolutely true...
ReplyDeletewoah, that is an 11 hour drive. Not too bad. Let me see what I can pull off cause this would be a blast!! Might leave early here and spend the day before in Moab
ReplyDeleteLet's see...if I sell some stuff...hmmm lots of stuff......hmmm...better put me on that email list, ladies. I'm eager to get back out west.
