Hello... Is anyone out there???

Let's see...  The last post was in August 2023.  Wow.  I probably lost my viewership.  That's alright, as this blog was mostly for my kids to read about my adventures after I'm gone.  So, I am wanting to write again.  2023-2024 were painful to say the least.  But, I still managed to get out fishing.  It just wasn't as enjoyable as pre-total knee replacement.  Most people heal well and are happy with the results.  I always have to be different!  Enough said.   =)

2024 brought many beautiful fish to my net, never the less.  I bought more flies than ever before, as I was not comfortable sitting at my tying desk.  But, it seemed that the fish didn't care who tied the fly as long as I got it in front of their nose!  That is the secret to success.  A good placement and a good mend!

I think that I will just drop this end of the year video for 2024.  You will see that fishing on the fly will always bring a smile on my face...

Thanks for stopping by...

  1. I've been following your adventures on facebook. My blog has been heavily neglected to. Maybe 2025 will be the year we return to the blog. Hopefully we can start a trend to get things back to how they used to be, before social media took over and made all anyone cared about is follows and likes.

I do keep checking yours, Mikes, and Bill Trussels just to keep up with things, Glad to see you back on the water, I'm sooooo jealious.
    Stay safe.

    1. Oh Mark ~ I was thinking about you when I headed out to Reno a few weeks ago. I know how tough it can be with having pain in your legs. Grrrrr.... I think that you might be only a couple hours from Reno... I need to add you to my next trip out that way. I would love to finally meet you!

  4. This video is the EMILY I have missed on the blog circuit. Looks like 2024 was a banner year, with you landing some incredible browns. I'm so glad you're on the mend and can return to the water. I know how much you love the sport. Oh, I forgot. Did I see some of your famous cookies in the video? Thanks for sharing

    1. Ahhh... Bill ~ Those cookies are now baked for my neighbors. I have lost over 50 lbs. I eat one test cookie! Then, they get wrapped up for a friend. Haha. The year was a challenge, but we did it! Where there is a will, there is a way. Thanks for being a loyal reader all of these years!
